What makes AuSable Wreath Company wreaths unique? 
Each wreath is crafted entirely by hand by three sisters in our family’s log cabin in Northern Michigan. Because we work with natural, cured pinecones from our land, no two wreaths are ever alike - each has its own organic character and story. Our wreaths measure roughly 16–17 inches and are designed to feel timeless, sustainable, and truly one-of-a-kind.
How are the pinecones attached? 
We use clear hot glue (or any heavy-duty clear glue, such as Gorilla Glue®: https://www.gorillatough.com) to secure the cones. We chose this method because wiring can damage pinecones, while glue holds firmly yet makes it easy to reattach a cone if one ever loosens.
Where should I hang my wreath? 
Because we use glue, wreaths should be displayed in a protected area - indoors, on a covered porch, or on a door with an awning. They should be kept away from direct rain, snow, and heat sources (such as fireplaces or heating vents). With this care, your wreath will last season after season.
Do you offer custom wreath designs? 
Not at this time. As we establish our business, we are focused on perfecting our signature designs. In the future, we hope to offer new styles of wreaths and other handcrafted items inspired by Northern Michigan.
Are AuSable wreaths good for gifting? 
Yes! We package every wreath so opening it feels like an experience. Each wreath is wired into the box with forest-green pipe cleaners, cushioned in green tissue and natural raffia. Inside, you’ll find:
  • A velvet hanging ribbon (forest green or burgundy)
  • A few extra cured pinecones
  • Unpacking and storage instructions
  • A complimentary gift card with your name and a personal close
  • A thank-you note from our family
The outside of the shipping box carries our logo, so your gift arrives looking as special as it is.
How do I care for my wreath? 
Once unpacked, gently remove the wreath from its wired box supports. Display it in a protected space and avoid direct exposure to harsh weather. To refresh it each season, lightly dust with a soft cloth or use compressed air. When storing, keep it in a cool, dry place in the original box if possible.
Are all wreaths exactly the same? 
No - and that’s the beauty of them. Each wreath is handmade from natural materials, so they will vary slightly in size (approximately 16–17 inches) and design. They’re meant to have an organic feel, celebrating the uniqueness of every pinecone and every wreath we create.
What if I have questions about my order? 
We don’t accept returns, as each wreath is handcrafted and made to order. That said, our goal is always to make our customers happy. How do I ensure my wreath ships at my desired time during the holidays and for gifting?
Wreaths ship in October, in November in time for Thanksgiving, or in the first half of December to best complement seasonal decorating and gifting. If no date is noted, your wreath will ship at our next available window.
